The chiefs
According to The Reply Email from Planet4One, one would think that the ErP problem would not exist at all and instead industry, retailers and customers would happily sing, hand in hand, dancing into the next spring morning.
Dear Mr. Brenninger,
Our power supplies all comply with the EU regulation and thus also with the ErP directive. It is not necessary to consider components such as mouse, keyboard and other external (not specifically powered) components.
A post-adjustment is not necessary because the hardware itself is based on these guidelines and a setting in the operating system or BIOS is no longer necessary.
If you have any further questions or would like an offer about components you have selected, please contact me at any time.
Sincerely:

Intel Elemental – we love ready-made PCs that deliberately dispense with the manufacturer’s specification of the power supply, while even all the onboard features of the budget motherboard are listed. Quite bravely leaned out of the wide open window. After all, the test will be put to the test. One look, one hit. With the cheapest power supply on the first page, the LC Power Super Silent LC6550 V2.0 without active PFC, we have already found a counter-candidate.
If you only scroll a little further, you will find the next faller with the CHIEFTEC Arena ANP-405A12405 Watt. That’s enough, because there’s still plenty of “pre-war goods” on offer for the motherboards. Marking? Misreporting. We also lack the explicit reference to the interaction of the motherboard and power supply in the answer. Also the possibility of switching in the BIOS is not mentioned, although we like to turn a blind eye here, as it is probably overwhelming for most supporters.
And then we also found an LC-Power 420H – since when is this part Erp/EuP compatible?
What we consider, however, to be a complete knockout criterion is the claim that all products are ErP compliant. Whether out of ignorance or with intent, false advice remains wrong. Even if, as in this case, it was written very nicely and politely. Here should really only buy those who are aware of the characteristics of the articles and who do not shy away from the way through the manufacturer’s pages to check the conformity themselves. The statements of the support are rather less to be trusted.
