Conclusion
It was extremely difficult for me to come to a conclusion with this review. Basically, the Thermaltake C750 is a great case with unmatched airflow and a very interesting design approach. Building the system was a ton of fun, everything is very accessible and there is an extreme amount of space available for cable management.
If it weren’t for the issue with the hanging graphics card and the very awkward to reach I/O, which requires extremely long peripheral cables and results in half a move of the entire desk every time a device is connected, the case would have won a fat award.
With this compatibility problem (not to say “design flaw”, because the problem doesn’t occur with all graphics cards), the C750 can practically only be recommended for systems with a large custom loop without hesitation, because water coolers don’t work like heat pipes and therefore the positioning of the cooler doesn’t matter. However, this is exactly the application area in which I see the case: equipped with high-end hardware and with a large water loop. Two or more 360+mm radiators and possibly even a distro plate in the side opening, only then the potential of this huge tower is fully exploited.
For the big water games, you should definitely consider the C750, but for systems with an air-cooled graphics card, it might be better to avoid it in case of doubt.
The case was provided by Thermaltake for this review. The only condition was the compliance with the lock period, no influence or compensation took place.
