Installation report
This part of the review is always particularly exciting, and after the finger-breaking in the small ITX case, the space in the C750 was a whole different ballgame. Every now and then I imagined I had just heard my Echo while installing the components.
Hardware to be installed:
Especially with the amount of space available, it would be a shame to just install an economy machine here. Instead, the already familiar Ryzen 9 3900X platform is used, paired with a large AIO and the rather massive RX 6900 XT Gaming X.
Additional ventilation is provided by another CT 140 fan and to add at least a little bit of light and color, we also install a set of illuminated Toughfans.
A very nice detail: The slotted holes for the fan mounting have cutouts for the intended positioning of the respective fan sizes.
The graphics card can breathe easy: three 140mm fans blow fresh air directly onto the graphics card.
After the fans had settled in, the motherboard was also allowed to move in. CPU, cooler, RAM and the HP NVME were already pre-assembled. Don’t worry, the AIO is of course not installed so that the pump is the highest point in the circuit.
The mounting of the AIO radiator in the side panel made the most sense to me. This way the radiator can be supplied with fresh air and the airflow of the front intakes is not slowed down by the radiator.
Front intakes and bottom intakes were conveniently screwed to the brackets outside the case:
And were then mounted in no time.
The place for the power supply is nicely prepared, even a rubberized decoupling layer is present.
The power supply feels comfortable and accommodating all the cables was a breeze with the space available.
Finally, the only thing missing on the way to happiness is an adequate pixel shooter. The MSI Radeon RX 6900XT Gaming X Trio is not a small graphics card, but it almost disappears in the C750 Air.
First boot attempt – it’s alive!
The Toughfans make a hell of a noise during system startup. Until the software is loaded and the fan control takes over, the things run at maximum speed and can move the maybe air!
Up and running:
Time for the tests!
