To keep the CPU cool, the whole thing is cooled with the NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB. For this, I immediately used the new F140 RGB fans and replaced the included AER fans. This AIO in the 280 version is easily enough to cool the CPU.
Now we come to the pixel slingshot. As mentioned, I use the Colorful iGame RTX 3050 that we tested. This brings enough pixel entertainment to the screen for our Overwatch target group. Additionally, I printed my own panels and covers with my 3D printer, nicely matching the theme.
Since I wanted to show these panels as well, I decided to mount the graphics card vertically and got the matching vertical mount with PCI-e 4.0 riser cable from NZXT. So everything was then allowed to enter the housing as a sandwich.
Since I wanted to provide a visual highlight again, I again permanently installed an 8-inch 1080P HDMI display, on which I again display all important values. I moved this display into a frame created with the 3D printer and installed it in the original position of the rear fan.
Of course, again with matching themed elements. Point of honor.
Of course, the whole thing needs a lot of power again so that the pixels can jump across our screen unchecked. Therefore, I actually wanted to use the NZXT C750 power supply, well, the emphasis is on wanted. Unfortunately, there was a small bang after the first start and the power supply said goodbye to Seasonic’s eternal OEM hunting grounds.
After checking my connections, I could not find any fault from my side that I could have caused and so there was probably already a factory defect. Fortunately, I still had another power supply in stock. With foresight, I only had extensions made and no cables from the power supply, since the pin assignment can be different from manufacturer to manufacturer.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Only use the original cables supplied with the power supply unit and also use specially made cables only for the exact power supply unit for which they were made. Otherwise, your hardware may be damaged or even suffer a total failure. Cable extensions, on the other hand, can be used with any power supply.
After remembering this tip and taking it to heart, we still went about embellishing and attaching the design elements I made these with my 3D printers and then attached them to the appropriate surfaces.
