So, let’s move on to the fun part, because talking about a case without also installing hardware would be really bland and boring. Those who know me and have already read my reviews of my builds also know that I am a fan of themed builds. That’s why we have something special again today, and I already spoiled in the title what the topic is today: Overwatch. Overwatch is a shooter game with different characters and abilities. My favorite character is Sombra, and I’ve spent countless hours driving opponents to the point of white heat – until the final Rage Quit. And since the good lady prefers the same colors as NZXT, it really lent itself to a Sombra build.
For today’s build, I use everything that is offered by NZXT for compatibility. The CPU is cooled with the NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB and the GPU simply stays under air. This build is therefore aimed more at the average screwdriver who does not want to go to the trouble of planning a custom loop.
The build is made up of components from the following list: AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB AiO, NZXT N7 B550 motherboard, Predator Talos 16 GB 3600 RAM, Colorful iGame RTX 3050, Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 NVME SSD, NZXT C750 Gold power supply, Cablemods custom cable extensions for the PSU, self-printed 3D parts, and an 8-inch HDMI screen.
The first step was to first disassemble the H7 Elite. Fortunately, this is quite fast. Just removed all the panels, removed the fan I didn’t need, and everything was ready to install my system. Since I don’t use an elaborate custom loop here and the case itself remains as it is, I could start installing the hardware right away. As mentioned in the beginning, everything comes from NZXT, so I chose the NZXT N7 B550 in white to match the white case.
Of course, we also need suitable RAM that fits visually into the concept. Therefore, the Predator Talos in white is used, with 16 GB and 3600 CL16.
Now there is still a decent fast mass storage for games and the operating system. Since I have SSDs from various manufacturers here, I spontaneously use the Crucial P5 Plus NVME M.2 Gen4 with 1TB today. The part is first sufficient in all situations.
Since it is supposed to be a rather simple gaming PC, the Ryzen 3 3300X is used. This CPU offers a very good combination with the GeForce RTX 3050 used. The small 4-core CPU has already put the fear of God into many a bigger brother, because it is never really overtaxed in combination with the rather small graphics card.
After all parts have found their place, the mainboard is finally allowed to take its final place. Visually, everything fits.
