Finally, we don’t want to forget Intel’s XeSS, even though the overall performance in the game lags a bit behind. The difference is a bit bigger, but at least you can hardly complain about the picture quality. Again, the comparison as a PNG graphic:
Despite the slight gap to DLSS and FSR, Frame Generation with Intel’s XeSS still performs solidly. However, Ultra Quality does not bring any advantage only native rendering without XeSS, only from Quality onwards XeSS can also benefit.
You can also see that in the FPS curves…
…and the percentiles, where we again see the familiar kink at 90%. But even when using Frame Generation with the XeSS settings Quality and Ultra Quality, the crash starts a bit earlier, but at least not as abruptly:
The cumulative frame times look like usual…
… although we again see that the variant with Frame Genration and without XeSS is a bit more jittery. This closes the circle, because this statement applies to all three processes. Logical.
Intel does not have to hide when it comes to variances with XeSS either, because it looks more or less like a copy of the other processes. That, too, is a realization.
