Now let’s look at DLSS in detail, and I’ll put the appropriate image from the slider on page one in front of it again as a graphic:
The bars are clear: Without frame generation the CPU bottleneck, with additionally generated frames it is gone. Visually, you can hardly see a difference between Quality and Balanced. Only Performance and above show some crumbling, but not much.
The FPS curves look quite good:
In the percentiles, the runs without Frame Generation offer the already known 10% drop in the worst part, no matter which quality setting was chosen:
Of course, you can also summarize the frame times statistically and output them as a bar graph. Here the world is still completely in order, but…
… we can see very clearly from the curves that frame generation and native rendering without DLSS are actually not such a good idea. Yes, it works, but you can see slight drops in the middle, ocher-colored curve here in direct comparison:
This is now also reflected in the variances:
