NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition Review- a big step forward and the tombstone for Turing

Sum of CPU and GPU power consumption

You really have to look at it in its entirety, because more draw calls naturally also drive up the CPU power and thus the package power. In the first comparison, we see the measured power consumption of the GPU as an average value for the respective benchmark in direct comparison to the sum of GPU and the CPU’s Package Power as a gel for WQHD, UHD and RTX/DLSS.

For the curious, I have of course documented all power consumption curves of all games and resolutions once again

Of course, this can also be done GPU-only, but is a bit further from the actual truth:

CPU power consumption

I made the CPU power consumption extra because it is actually very interesting and gives a good feeling about bottlenecks. Here again everything in a gallery, the respective settings can be seen in the chart graphic
