Pixel response times
Gaming in UHD is currently not the terrain of eSports enthusiasts. This is more for the enthusiasts or just those who want it that way. It’s cool in any case, because the graphics are impressive and much better than 1080p. The sharpness alone is better than 1440p. However, you need a lot of graphics card power and usually also upscaling to get good frame rates. Well, on with the text. On paper, the LG 27GN950 should easily sit out the 144 Hz refresh rate with its “millisecond” response time. The panel would have to be virtually bored for 5.9 ms between frames.
Overdrive Off
Hmm, in Overdrive Off the pixel response times look okay, but where is the 1 ms?
Overdrive Normal
It goes slowly – faster. A beautiful paradox.
Overdrive Fast
Ok, it goes on with – slowly it gets faster. Overshoot is fortunately not an issue.
Overdrive Faster
And here we go… That was then much faster, but is unfortunately unplayable! The inverse ghosting rate is so high that my eyes immediately wanted to see a doctor. Sorry LG, but you can’t be serious. Marketing mode or not, this is a joke. So we do everything else with the Overdrive Fast. Turn the page…
