Installation report
I can say right away that the installation in the 5000T was an absolute pleasure. There is a corresponding opening for the required cables at every important place, the bays are all sufficiently dimensioned and there are no sharp edges or ridges anywhere. My usual test system was installed, as can be seen in the following picture.
In the first step, I had first made the housing “naked”. So I removed all fans and their cables so that the basic components could move in without much fiddling. In no time at all, the PSU and SSD were in place, and the motherboard with pre-assembled CPU, RAM, and mounting kit for the AIO were also installed within seconds thanks to the spacer with “centering pin”.
Mounting the compact water cooling system on the front carrier was also a breeze.
The downside of the RGB madness: All the cables have to be connected somewhere. Fortunately, the pre-installed cable extensions were already labeled at the factory, because the order does indeed matter for the lighting effects.
RapidRoute cable management lives up to its name. Exactly 8 minutes passed between the last and the following picture, and most of the time was spent on attaching the Velcro strips. Great thing!
On the front, everything is also tidy and hardly any cables can be seen, despite assembly in record time.
However, the cover for the cables is again very tight on the 5000T. Obviously, there is no other way because the cover would otherwise collide with the graphics card further down. My approach would be to leave the cover as is at the bottom and make a shaping starting at the blue line, that the “gap” at the top allows a little more clearance. Overall, however, this is actually the only thing that was noticed negatively during installation, and that would even be omitted when installing side fans.
