Among all the gaming chairs from all over the world, the US manufacturer Vertagear has also been around for a few years. In today’s test, we have the PL6000 model, which is designed more as an office chair for obese gamers, and which raises a specific question in my mind: Why is this manufacturer actually so unknown?
Vertagear has been active on the American market since 2015 and has already won over many an influencer with its high-quality products. Designed with maximum comfort in mind, the PL6000 has excellent ergonomic features. The durable construction, as well as reinforcement of the padding and headrest provide additional comfort and durability. This makes the Plus line ideal for almost all players who want more space. The wide range of adjustment options provides players with maximum comfort and the best possible ergonomics, even when sitting for long periods in any sitting position.
In the practical test, we want to find out whether the manufacturer’s promises are kept and whether the chair can convince. With my approx. 1.90m height and a combat weight of approx. 120kg, I am probably the heavyweight in the team and thus the first choice for testing the model in question. To check whether the chair is suitable for smaller or not so heavy people, I also included the family.
Unboxing
First of all, let’s free the block from the large cardboard box, on which the delivery man has quite a tow. No wonder, with a gross weight of about 32kg!
The individual parts are all packed separately and padded to protect them safely from scratches and damage.
The complete contents of the box:
And then again without the three cubic meters of foil and foam:
In detail, both the cover material and the seams look very high-quality.
The armrests are already pre-assembled, but I’ll get to that later.
The large base is cast from aluminum and makes a very solid impression.
The large casters not only look chic, they also convey stability right away and suggest easy running.
The massive rocking mechanism also hints that this is a chair for heavy guys. It obviously comes from the manufacturer Donati, which is often found in the field of high-priced chairs.
An important role is also played by the gas spring. The PL6000 uses a Class 4 spring from the Chinese manufacturer Lant
Apart from that, assembly instructions, the four screws for fastening the backrest and a sturdy hexagon socket with T-handle for assembly are also included.
