Conclusion
Now we come to the conclusion. Anyone who has read the article carefully will have noticed that I didn’t notice too many points of criticism during testing. The SGK50 S3, especially in the PBT version, has nothing to hide from its competitors – not even from many more expensive ones. Especially when you consider the price, which is somewhere in the region of the cheapest models with questionable Chinese names, you simply have to say that the SGK50 S3 offers a lot of keyboard for the money. The ABS version is a good €50 cheaper than the Nerdytec Cykey, which offers a transparent housing (a matter of taste) and a movable knob for a 50% surcharge, but otherwise cannot justify the surcharge in technical terms. I particularly liked the sound of the SGK50 S3, which sounds very rich thanks to the thick damping inserts and remains relatively quiet even when typing fast.
Personally, I would go for the PBT version of the SKG50 S3 as, in my opinion, it offers a much higher quality feel for just €10 extra. Or perhaps the barebone model, which offers an inexpensive entry into the wonderland of custom keyboards.
The keyboard(s) were provided by SHARKOON for this test. The only condition was compliance with the blocking period; there was no influence or remuneration.
