Gaming GPUs Hardware Reviews

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 FE in review – does this card set new standards in the middle class?

The GeForce RTX 2060 might well be a good way to change negative opinions about the P/L ratio of Turing cards. With the EIA, it is even lower than the starting price of the GeForce GTX 1070 at that time and yet it is faster than a GTX 1070 Ti. It is more likely to reach the GeForce GTX 1080. We have already been able to test this map in large parts, you can read the report here...

Power consumption

This time, too, I have to improvise a bit and use the data of my US colleague. That is why I have to refer to some sub-areas, such as CAD, Multimonitor and others do not and unfortunately cannot check the quality of the power supply including the spikes. Nevertheless, the available values of a USB riser card should be accurate enough to get a first picture.

With atwas over 10 watts in the Idle, you're also well in the race. In the gaming loop and the torture loop, the 158 watts are reached, i.e. only marginally more than Nvidia specifies as a TBP with 160 watts. This is a kind of point landing as with the GeForce RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti and shows once again how restrictive Nvidia adheres to these requirements.

Compliance with the specifications for the PCI-Express motherboard slot is also given, even within the scope of possible measurement inaccuracies. So you can leave it calm:

Temperatures, fan speeds, noise

Since measurements in open construction are rather non-practical, I can again only represent half of the truth and have to be content with the few available values. According to Chris' measurements in the gaming and torture loops, the card gets just under 70°C hot and the fan speeds are just under 1700 rpm in the open structure, which should be clearly audible. The measurements in the acoustic laboratory and the sound spectrum also have to be omitted due to a lack of a sample.

First, let's look at the clock rates in the gaming loop and in the diagram, which unfortunately could only be determined in an open setup:

The corresponding fan speeds now show us the last picture gallery:

But postponed, is not repealed. Let's be optimistic about next week.
