Benchmarks – XMP*
First of all, I would like to emphasize again that the kit was not tested with DDR5-8000, as actually specified by Corsair. The reason for this is the lack of consistency of stable memory training on our Intel test platform. Reference configurations were used to ensure that the performance between the BIOS and board versions is identical. As always, if you are looking for gaming benchmarks, I can refer you to our basic article on DDR5 reviews:
Even though the AMD platform with 7800X3D and Asus Crosshair X670E can run the kit stably “plug and play” at DDR5-8000, it would be unfair and misleading to include the benchmark results here, as the other results were produced on the Intel platform. For the sake of clarity, the manufacturers and product names of the RAM kits have been abbreviated as follows:
- CDTR: Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB
- CDPR: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB
- TGDR: Teamgroup DELTA RGB
- CVR: Corsair Vengeance RGB
- CV: Corsair Vengeance
- GSTZ5R: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB
The Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5-8000 kit makes it to the top in the bandwidth-intensive benchmarks due to its high clock rate alone. In Geekbench 3 and Y-cruncher, where latency is also important, the kits with Hynix 16 Gbit A-Die are at least on a par again. In the latency tests Pyprime and AIDA64 Latency, our sample then slips into the midfield, mainly due to the significantly looser subtimings set by the motherboard.
