Low-Budget Gaming PC 2020 – What do you get for 400 Euros? | Part 1 – Compilation

Graphics card – Nvidia or AMD? I'll just take both!

Undoubtedly by far the most important component of the gaming PC. It has long been considered which model it should become. In the end, the Radeon RX 570 and the Geforce GTX 970 remained in the final selection. Both are available for approx. 75-85€ on the second-hand market and therefore fit perfectly into the budget. Since the graphics cards of AMD and Nvidia perform very differently depending on the game and engine, I organized both cards without further ado.

This allows the reader to better estimate which manufacturer might offer a small advantage in the preferred games. The models selected are the EVGA GTX 970 SC and the XFX RX 570 4GB Black Edition. Both are custom models, which have been slightly overclocked by the manufacturer and equipped with a sufficient, but not exactly quiet radiator. So that can be seen as a fairly fair comparison. Personally, I would choose the Radeon in this case. With Freesync, the more extensive driver (RIS, Integer Scaling) and consistently better performance in DX12/Volcano games, it just seems more future-proof to me. However, the Geforce must be credited with performing terribly better in Gameworks and many e-sports as well as indie games.

Tomorrow will be the assembly…

As already written, the 400 Euros are a quite sporty announcement, which you have to realize first. Of course, one should not expect miracles, but with a little thought and thought one can implement a durable entry-level system, which does not give up the mind immediately after one month. The mixture of new and cheap as well as used and functional makes it just. As always, by the way, if you don't have money to give away.
