No, you don’t have deja vu. I already tested this budget air cooler 3 years ago, but back then it was still in silver and under the SilentiumPC brand. What exactly motivated the manufacturer, which is now known as Endorfy, to bring out the cooler again? I have no idea. But with the new black finish and attractive price, we don’t want to miss out on a potential insider tip, so we test the new version thoroughly.

Packaging and scope of delivery
The packaging is almost as simple as the cooler itself. Brown cardboard with black print, the front presents the cooler in a schematic representation.
The back reveals a few more details about the contents.
Inside, the base is protected by a block of foam, with two boxes on the left and right forming a generous crumple zone.
The accessories are both straightforward and functional in equal measure; in addition to a total of four brackets for 120 mm fans, only the brackets and small parts for the supported sockets are included.
Assembly and installation
For the AM4 socket I am using here, the existing backplate of the mainboard is reused. Four spacers are inserted into the threads on the front, then a mounting frame is placed on top.
This is then fixed in place with four screws before the cooler itself can be attached. Overall, the installation is a little fiddly, but can be completed in a few minutes even without experience.
Specifications
The manufacturer’s product page does not yet have an entry for the black version at the time of my test, but the key data will probably be very close to the linked normal version. As soon as something is available, I will add it here.
