Optics and haptics
Finally unpacked, it becomes clear once again that we are effectively looking at the identical water cooling system, but with a different pump block.
At this point, we would like to refer to the dedicated review of the fans that are used in this water cooling system:
Even with the LT, the new copper radiator with a higher fin density survived the transport well and presents itself in almost perfect condition from both sides:
We already know the nickel-plated copper coldplate, but it wouldn’t hurt to take another look. It almost completely uses the available space on the bottom of the pump block, four large screws on the corners hold everything in place.
The large pump block with small viewing window gives way here to a more classic square form factor. However, the side port for refilling coolant remains.
In addition, the cables for lighting and pump slip to the side, and I criticized the normal version of this water cooling system for having the outlet on top.
I don’t have to change my assessment regarding the workmanship, everything still completely meets my expectations. Despite the large Quickconnect ports, the Eisbaer Aurora LT certainly looks the part overall.
