Fan Shrouds
The first solution relies once again on the use of a 3D printer. Due to the popularity of the O11D, there are accordingly many community-made mods, for example these tubes for the second chamber. This is to direct the warm exhaust air from the components directly out of the case without being able to disperse.
With a print time of about two hours per piece on my Prusa MK3S, the parts are made quickly, and with a filament requirement of only 36 grams, the total cost with power is under one euro.
Mounted, the three tubes then look like this:
Let's now look at the results in comparison to the unmodified case:
And that looks pretty neat already! Who would have thought that creating warm air from the case lowers the internal temperature? Surprise, surprise! But there is more ..
