Processing and mobility

The mobility is fully given. If you want even more, you’ll need a Vesa arm or the like, as always. That in the year 2022 – one may still install the OSD buttons – is a mystery to me… For those who suffer from a sloping roof:

Connectors, cables and accessories

There is a small clickable cable holder for the stand. After all. But: Why does MSI sell the monitor with a built-in KVM switch, without a USB-C cable? Besides the external power supply (matter of taste), there is also a USB-B to USB-A 2.0 cable and HDMI once. Seriously, with an MSRP of 350 €, there is neither DisplayPort – nor USB-C cable? Difficult!

OSD menu

The OSD is standard and a bit annoying due to the control buttons. Therefore, my recommendation: Even if you use the monitor as a stand-alone, connect the USB cable and install the MSI Productivity Intelligence software. Click here!

Software

I already introduced the software to you in the article about the MSI Summit MS321UP.

With the software you can make your life easier. Everything that can be found in the OSD is available at a glance and there is no clicking around on four different buttons (you usually hit the wrong one anyway).

KVM Switch

If you need to work with two PCs at home or in the office, you can use the KVM switch. USB-C from the notebook to the monitor USB-C and via USB-B to USB-A to the other PC. Now connect the mouse and the keyboard to the monitor and you can operate both computers with one setup.

Wenn man den Cursor Lauf auf einem Gaming Monitor mit 144 Hz gewohnt ist, merkt man niedrigere Bildwiederholraten sogar auf dem Desktop sofort, zumindest geht's mir so.

Kann man den Monitor evtl. mit einer custom Resolution zu mehr als 75 Hz überzeugen? Manche (günstigere) Display Controller erlauben das ja, wäre zumindest interessant.

Da ich hier mit bis zu 360 Hz "arbeite" merke ich mittlerweile jede kleine Veränderung bzgl. der Bildwiederholrate. Dennoch, es ist auch Kopfsache. Ich sage mir, das ist jetzt so, weil der Monitor das halt nicht kann. Ein paar Minuten der inneren Trauer und schon hat man sich an die 75 Hz gewöhnt. Bei Arbeiten kein Problem...

Zocken unterhalb von 100 Hz/FPS geht gar nicht... da sehe ich jeden Pixelmüll, und Bildfehler alá DLSS 3 Frame Generation... Nervig

Bzgl. Overclocking des Panels, keine Ahnung - das habe ich nicht getestet.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber braucht man für KVM nicht zwingend ein Thunderbolt Kabel mit USB-C Anschluss?
Ich habe einige USB-C Kabel an meinem KVM getestet (z.B. das Ladekabel von OnePlus, mit dem natürlich auch Daten transferiert werden können).
Geklappt hat es aber erst mit einem Thunderbolt Kabel, was ganz schön dick und teuer war.

Oder ist Display Signal über USB-C mittlerweile so weit verbreitet?
Oder ist es Teil von USB X.Y?

Ich gehöre zum Kreis der Verwirrten und ihre mich hier gerne.

Ansonsten wäre es super, wenn man in den Berichte genau drauf achtet die Kabel richtig zu bezeichnen, nicht das ein Leser dann 5 Mal zum Saturn rennen muss :)

Stimmt, darauf sollte ich achten. Man benötigt ein:

USB 3.2 Gen2 Typ C Monitorkabel USB Kabel (oder vergleichbar)

Kosten ab 20 Euro aufwärts....

Ich habe daheim 165 Hz und auf Arbeit 60Hz, dafür aber 16:10
Also einen spürbaren Unterschied im Office Betrieb merke ich da überhaupt nicht

ich hatte den Monitor vor ein paar Tagen im Angebot gekauft, leider zeigt er bei mir ein lautes Spulenfiepen, sobald man ein DP/HDMI-Kabel anschließt und ein Bild übertragen wird.

Das stört schon sehr, ich werde ihn daher umtauschen. Ansonsten aber wirklich ein schönes Gerät, aber das Gefiepe/Gesurre ist echt ein no-go, gerade für ruhige Büroarbeit.

Hat noch jemand diese Erfahrung mit diesem Modell gemacht oder hatte das Testgerät das auch @FritzHunter01 ?

Der Testmonitor ist mittlerweile bei mir ist Einsatz, das Fiepen habe ich auch.
Aber nur die 1-2 Sekunden, wenn ein Gerät via HDMI angeschlossen ist und noch kein Bild angezeigt wird.
Via Displayport habe ich das überhaupt nicht.

Vielleicht hat @FritzHunter01 besseren Strom als ich :D

Bei mir war das Fiepen leider dauerhaft. Das scheint bei dem Gerät auch öfter aufzutreten, wenn man zumindest einigen Kommentaren auf mydealz glauben möchte.
