Fan control and curves
Cooling works only with a proper airflow and that’s exactly why I have now once looked at the fan curves. For this purpose, I once contrasted the (lower and usual) edge temperature and the fan speeds. In most normal games, you’ll get that high in Ultra-HD, so it’ll almost always end up being around 1930rpm, which you’ll already be able to notice though. It is, however, a very unobtrusive and broadband noise.
Noise emission “Volume
If you measure the whole thing in gaming with the mentioned almost 310 watts, the 38.8 dB(A) of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 3070 Ti SG 8GB are quite audible. So very quiet is definitely different, but let’s not forget that while this is a big cooler, it’s also not too heavy. In the range around 1.9 KHz you can see the emerging broadband patterns of the turbulence. The resulting operating noise isn’t particularly annoying, though, because there aren’t any real peaks in the motor and bearing of the three fan modules.
As an interim conclusion, we can state that KFA2 has created a good cooler, which cools sovereign and would like to tell you that. I also have the sound as an audio sample for the curious reader and yes, the karte is unfortunately as the FE:
For a direct comparison, let’s take a look at the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition with its almost 42 dBA:
