Optics and haptics
And then we finally come to the main attraction itself, which is allowed to present itself here first from the front and back. Even if you can’t see it very well on the picture, we are greeted by a piano lacquer surface on the front. Why the manufacturers always like to make this one especially on the surfaces that are often touched, no one can probably understand.
You can already get a good idea that cooling has not been forgotten in a small space. Besides the large grilled surfaces, there are also three wide air outlets on the back. There we also find the rest of the available ports, more about that in a moment in the detailed view.
First a picture of the underside, on which the buttons for the BIOS setup and boot menu are conveniently printed. It’s funny that the computer is so small that you just turn it over quickly instead of looking in the manual, isn’t it? Otherwise, there are two long strips of textured rubber here, which is supposed to provide a better grip.
On the front, from left to right, we have a Clear CMOS button, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C, a headphone/microphone combo port, and the power button. Besides data, a display signal can also be output via the USB C port.
At the back, the SER3 then has Gigabit LAN, two more USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI ports with support for 4K @ 60Hz, and of course the connector for the power supply.
With that, we’ve seen everything on the outside, on the next page we’ll get down to the nitty gritty!
