Functionality and further fields of application
LEAKSHIELD can also be used in parallel as a very accurate level sensor, because an intelligent volume measurement determines the level very precisely indeed. In addition, the LEAKSHIELD can also be used as a leak tester. According to the manufacturer, a highly accurate 24-bit pressure sensor determines the pressure in the system with an accuracy of 0.0001 bar and thus detects any pressure loss very reliably. An integrated conversion then outputs the leakage rates directly in ml/h.
The LEAKSHIELD is also a real help when filling and venting. The whole thing can be done quite easily by building up and breaking down the negative pressure several times. In addition, a system with LEAKSHIELD can be filled very easily and conveniently via a separate suction line. If you want, you can connect a small, almost invisible 4 mm hose to the system on one end and then simply put the other end in a canister with the coolant to be filled up. The end of the hose remains at negative pressure when pulled out, so no need to worry about drips.
In the event of an alarm being triggered, LEAKSHIELD can provide visual and audible warnings. In addition, LEAKSHIELD optionally logs on as a USB keyboard and is then able to shut down the PC via keyboard commands (media key). Additionally LEAKSHIELD has an interface to connect to the power button input of the mainboard, which it can also use to switch off the PC.
A high-resolution OLED display allows the most important functions to be operated directly on the device via a side button. In addition, all important parameters of LEAKSHIELD can be shown via the display. In combination with the aquasuite and the Aqua Computer background service, all hardware monitoring data of the PC can also be displayed. And the good news for all friends of a dignified RGB underpainting: yes, that’s available, too!
The built-in RGBpx LEDs in the LEAKSHIELD can be freely controlled via RGBpx controllers as usual. At the same time, they serve LEAKSHIELD for visualization of the current status, interaction with the user and, of course, especially in the event of errors. Software
Of course, the system can also be operated independently and without software, but the details and the full range of functions are only unlocked together with the aquasuite from Aqua Computer. Since I don’t want to talk your ear off, we have summarized the most important things as screenshots in a picture gallery:
Mounting
With the Universal Adapter Kit it can also be fitted to regular tubes, so it does not necessarily have to be a ULTITUBE. You can convert it yourself that way or buy it in that configuration. This works via a normal G1/4″ thread which then simply connects the hose to the rest of the system.
By the way, you can even secure several circuits with a single LEAKSHIELD in this way. You then only have to connect the air cushions together accordingly. If you want, simply place the LEAKSHIELD on the radiator, because the brackets of the universal mounting kit correspond to the usual hole grids.
