Autodesk Inventor 2021 Pro and InvMark
InvMark covers almost all areas of Inventor with its comprehensive benchmark and is a really good gauge of system performance. Let’s first look at the total score for all CPUs. The Core i5-12400 with DDR5 is a whopping 6 percentage points above the Ryzen 5 5600X’s score, while the DDR4 version is not 2 percentage points just below its AMD counterpart.
Intel winning single thread performance with DDR5 is certainly no surprise. Still, it’s not a whole galaxy, it’s just a cosmic blink of an eye. Just like how the DDR4 version lags behind the AMD CPU.
Multi-thread performance also goes to Intel, where the lead of the DDR5 version is now almost 10 percentage points. The E-cores are noticeably lacking here, if you take a look at the Core i5-12600K’s values. This is not only due to the higher clock rate.
Individual benchmarks of the InvMark
Again, we divide into very different application scenarios. And at least the Ryzen 5 5600X manages to win in 2 benchmarks, even if it is not enough for the overall victory. The bottom line is that both are then also approximately equally good or bad, depending on the viewpoint of the observer. With certain advantages for Intel.
