With a height of 45 mm, the Vengeance RGB RT bars are no giants, but also no dwarfs among the DDR4 sticks, although as a potential buyer you probably wouldn’t want to cover the top with a cooler or radiator anyway and thus disturb the view of the lighting. In addition, the modules are 136 mm long, so without overhang over the DIMM slot caps, and weigh 54 g each, which also means DDR4 midfield.
The 10 zone RGB lighting is probably one of the most important features of the “RT” modules and we’ll take a look at it now. As usual, it is available for you as a video at system startup and then as still images as well.
Wow, these modules are bright, have bold colors, and zero halos at that! My camera first has to completely recalibrate its exposure to begin to capture what looks far more impressive to the naked eye. Has anyone noticed the lighting on my TechN CPU block? No? Neither do I, because the Vengeance RGB RT modules truly and literally outshine anything else I’ve had the pleasure of testing in RGB hardware.
In the individual shots, I set the camera to capture the colors of the preset lighting as representatively as possible. The halos that can be seen in these photographs are not visible to the naked eye. Only the triangular pattern can be made out as a refined detail by a trained eye, even with active lighting. I personally find the new memory modules from Corsair chic and simple when switched off and sensationally beautiful with active illumination, which already sets new visual standards. We will look at whether this trend will continue in performance on the next page.
