The clock remains constant at 2450 MHz even after the complete warming – overclocked, you can reach a stable 2550 MHz, but not more, despite the maximum increase of the offset voltage. The GPU temperatures of 53 to 54 °C shown here were only reached AFTER the assembing with new thermal paste and pads, since I also had to remove the backplate for the infrared pictures. In the original, we were clearly above 60 °C.
The infrared image shows that the voltage converters should have been cooled better. Temperatures of up to almost 60 °C on the back suggest over 80 °C on the upper side of the components. This is not yet on the edge of a thermal defect, but it is a lot.
We see a fan control that is actually not one at all. Sometimes there was a spike when it warmed up, but most of the time the fans were running at a constant 1500 rpm. I already wrote that the telemetry is error-prone and it depends on the card’s form of the day what works and what does not.
The whole thing ends at 39 dBA, which is definitely too much for the power dissipation. Especially since a significant motor noise can be heard and also measured (peak).
