DeepCool DIGITAL Display
Because, as promised at the beginning, I would also like to present the range of functions of the CH560 DIGITAL version display, here is a brief description of the software and a few pictures of the functions shown.
The display is connected to the mainboard via USB header on both the CH560 DIGITAL and the AK620 DIGITAL shown here and can then be controlled via the DeepCool Digital software. This is not an LCD display like those often found on expensive AIOs, but a somewhat simpler LED display with a smaller range of functions. It can display the current utilization of the processor and its temperature.
DeepCool DIGITAL Software
The software for controlling the display is more of a slim tool in the form of a taskbar icon. At 80MB (setup) or 250MB (installed), the small program nevertheless takes up a relatively large amount of space and the two threads, each a good 50MB, stored in RAM during execution also raise the question “what for?”.
Only a small DeepCool icon is displayed in the taskbar; right-click to open the context menu.
Only the AK620 DIGITAL cooler used in the test is displayed as a device; if we had installed the case display, the CH560 DIGITAL would be listed accordingly.
The display can only show the temperature or the CPU load, alternately if desired.
The remaining points (selection of Celsius/Fahrenheit units, autostart and language settings) are basically self-explanatory, which is why I won’t go into them in detail. All in all, the display is a nice gimmick that you can easily pick up for a surcharge of just €10 (CH560 vs. CH560 DIGITAL).
