Aircooling Case Reviews

DEEPCOOL CH560 WH Mid-Tower in test – All-White DeepCool build ensures a white (and cold) Christmas even without snow

Thermal behavior

The usual course of Cinebench R23 Loop and the gaming test with Borderlands 3 was again used to evaluate the thermal behavior.

General conditions:

Room temperature: 20.8°C
CPU fan: 1000 rpm
System fan: 500 rpm

Test system

There were a few changes to the test system used for this test. Instead of an AIO, a large air cooler was used and the usually used kfa² RTX 3070 Ti SG was replaced by a Sapphire RX 7700XT Pure. The 7700XT is slightly faster than the 3070 Ti in most games and tests and consumes 50-70W less on average.

CPU Torture

In the Cinebench R23 loop, the thick DeepCool Tower was able to keep the CPU at an average of approx. 80°C, which corresponds roughly to the level of a 240mm AIO – and that at a discreetly whispering 1000rpm!

Gaming

Borderlands 3 was used again for the gaming test. The UE4 game demands everything from the graphics card and also gives the CPU a lot to do. The 7700XT Pure is on average over 10K cooler than the GeForce we usually use and is also considerably quieter. Only the coil whirring indicates that a powerful graphics card is at work. With hot-spot temperatures of around 80°C, there’s no need to worry here, everything is well within the green range.

The CPU was also pleasantly cool in the gaming workload with an average of 55°C, although the air cooler was located directly above the hot backplate of the Radeon. In any case, there was no heat build-up in the case, even though the case fans rotated at just 500rpm.

Interim conclusion

Overall, the CH560 cuts a very respectable figure in terms of temperatures. In view of the generous perforation and the solid case fans, it was also to be expected that there would be plenty of airflow. With the large air cooler and the still quite economical 7700XT, our test did not present the case with any major challenges, as there are still plenty of reserves – especially as the case fans were still set very low at 500rpm. The case fans then become slightly audible from around 600rpm, and I would only tolerate anything above 800rpm if the graphics card fans were also whirring during a gaming session. With standard equipment, the DeepCool is once again not for silent freaks, but without high-quality fans (which can easily exceed the price of the CH560 in this size) you can’t really get there either.

PURE BASE 500DX WHITE.
