Unboxing
At this point I really had to decide if I should split the unboxing and the assembly of the table, because this might result in double pictures. Ultimately, I decided to do so, because I have always done so with the seating furniture and therefore a certain routine has crept in. But because the test object deserves it and the test itself was quite a time-consuming undertaking, I’m going to make the assembly report on page 3 a kind of “blog”. But now first to the boxes and components..
It should go without saying that a piece of furniture of this size does not come pre-assembled to the customer. The Platform:6 is delivered as a kit in three packages and I can already tell you that the delivery man will swear quietly on the day of delivery of this product.
Box 1 of 3 is the heaviest and largest with a weight of 54kg.
It contains a large show mat.
Jokes aside! Inside, the massive desk top and some larger components of the integrated cable management system are waiting. More details then in the construction diary on page 3.
Box 2 of 3 is about half the weight and size of Box 1 at 26kg.
It contains a foam mat half the size.
