Okay, enough with all the heavy stuff, now comes the point of view. The second box contains the massive table legs, the power supply for the electric motors, the stable monitor mount and a small parts.
The legs provide a solid stand thanks to their depth of almost 70cm.
They are equipped with unscrewable rubber feet to compensate for minor unevenness of the floor.
The stand legs with the pre-assembled electric motors are not only very heavy, they are even labeled “L” and “R” for left and right – basically, there is never any real frustration during assembly.
The power supply unit, the control unit and the brackets for the support rail.
The mounting materials and tools are individually packaged for each step, so there is no risk of confusion here either. It’s nice to see that Corsair pays attention to the environment at this point, uses cardboard made from recycled material and packs the small parts in paper bags. However, there is no negative point later on.
The monitor mount follows the same principle, the assembly is self-explanatory and everything is executed in a high quality.
Box 3 of 3 is the smallest and lightest at just under 3 kilos.
It only contains the two power strips (on and under the table) and the power cord.
However, shipping as a “kit” has one not inconsiderable disadvantage. It’s not that half the waste paper garbage can is filled by the cut cardboard of the outer boxes, much worse is the gigantic mountain of packaging material that protects the components from transport damage. A full-blown office chair/gaming chair “for scale”.
