DirectX 11 game benchmarks: Metro 2033
DirectX 11 game benchmarks: Aliens versus Predator
Interim Conclusion:
Metro 2033 is a thing of its own. The more so as AMD seems to have made the current drivers worse. While it was still possible to determine reasonable values with older drivers, the performance drops enormously with the current Catalyst 11.6 incl. CF profiles. Since we think this is a home-made bug, we used older drivers for Metro to demonstrate the performance. Neither Nvidia nor AMD manage to run the multi-GPU mode without jerks.
Only the Crossfire Triples can convince to some extent. In terms of frame rates, AvP is clearly the domain of AMD cards, which unfortunately also mark the sad top in terms of micro-stutters. Only Triple and Quad Crossfire come close to the quality of the SLI combinations.
