A Ryzen 5 3600 from AMD is used as the processor. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that it can be purchased quite cheaply, especially second-hand, and on the other hand, a reasonably up-to-date mid-range CPU is sufficient for the vast majority of games. And even in VR with my Oculus Rift, the processor held up quite nicely with enough performance for “big games” like Half Life: Alyx and Arizona Sunshine.

However, the size of the cooler and thus the maximum heat that can be dissipated is also a limiting factor in a small space. The Cooler Master MasterAir G200P fits barely into the case and can just about tame the CPU. With a Ryzen 7, I would probably lose the theoretically available extra performance to thermal throttling again.
If you want to learn more about the little air whisk, you can read my review of the cooler:

But I’ll give a brief glimpse of the temperatures here later, too!
