Like its cheaper brother, the Light² 100 is ergonomically designed for right-handers. So lefties are left out in the cold again, which is really unfortunate this time. The underside is dominated by the two large level feet, and PTFE has also been added in the center around the sensor. The compatibility switch for the polling rate is set to 500Hz ex works, here you should switch directly to 1000Hz when unpacking in most cases.
On the left side, the two large, freely programmable thumb keys can be examined. In contrast to the rest of the mouse, they have a high-gloss look, which doesn’t quite match the matte case. The right side is pretty unspectacular, you won’t find any additional buttons here.
In the view from the front and back, you can see the shape for right-handers particularly well for the first time, the mouse has a “hump” to the upper left. Thus, the mouse keys also sit at different heights, the whole thing is ergonomically tilted a bit outwards.
Regarding the workmanship, there are no points of criticism this time, all parts are cleanly processed and there are no unsightly corners and edges. The individual parts fit well into each other and have only small gaps.
The fabric sheathing doesn’t fit tightly around the cable, but is slightly loose and very similar to that of the Roccat Burst Pro. With 78g it is not one of the top lightweights, but can still be moved with little force. For my Palm Grip, the shape is very suitable, even with prolonged intensive use, you do not risk cramps. A quiet rattling when putting on as with the Shark Force II I could not notice.
