Power consumption in factory settings as a summary
The idle power consumption is still high, fluctuating between 15 watts and up to 45 watts. With a second monitor, this quickly becomes 75 watts and more (peaks over 90 watts). The rest is not entirely unknown.
Load distribution between the PCIe slot and the PCIe sockets
The distribution of the power supply for all four cards shows that the cards have large reserves on the PEG, which is very pleasing. While the two 8-pin connectors are fully utilized, the motherboard slot is really very much in the running. In contrast to the RX 7900 XTX(X), this looks really good.
Long-term measurement over 2 minutes
In the following, we now see the 20 ms intervals for 2 minutes, which the supervisor chips of most power supplies also take into account as a safety check for a shutdown:
While NVIDIA has almost completely stopped supplying power via the PEG a long time ago, AMD is now also no longer using this rail so excessively.
