Editor's Desk Gaming GPUs Graphics Practice Reviews

NVIDIA NULL and Reflex vs. AMD Anti-Lag and Radeon Boost – which is better? Latencies in practice!

RTX 3060 Ti vs. RX 6700 XT in a test run

Since both NVIDIA Reflex and Radeon Boost require support for the respective games, you’ll have to take a close look at which games make a comparison possible in relation to both competitors. Here the choice fell on Overwatch, so we start with DX11. To do this, I pitted both graphics cards against each other in 1080p first on the Medium preset and max setting with SMAA Ultra and 200% render scaling. Here’s a short video to give you an idea of how my short test run to determine the general performance of the two cards looks like. Both graphics cards had NULL, Reflex & Boost or Anti-Lag or Radeon Boost disabled.

Here are the detailed results in direct comparison.

The RX 6700 XT is ahead by about 5% on average with the medium settings, which isn’t really much now, but still.

The RX 6700 XT can score much more at the 1% low with 20%, so the scrolling feels a bit smoother!

And what about system latency? That’s exactly what’s coming up on the next few pages, because this was the inventory for now.
