Cooling GPUs Graphics Practice Pro Reviews Watercooling Workstations

Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 Water Cooled – more boost and performance through modification even without manual overclocking

Temperatures and thermal imaging

Nice thing, because the cooler does exactly what it has earned the name for, extensively and thoroughly. 34 to 35 °C at the GPU diode and at the base with a delta to the cooling water of 14 to 15 degrees and 260 watts applied are really good. Then the card boosts as if there were no tomorrow and shakes the already determined 5 to 6 percent extra power out of the sleeve with almost elfish ease. The memory could hardly be cooler, if you add a delta of about 10 degrees to the inside of the substrate (estimation and comparison measurement with electrical sensor between the RAM modules on the top).

Conclusion and summary

Such a Quadro RTX 6000 with 24 GB RAM is in itself a very potent, even if unfortunately very expensive card, which virtually sweeps away everything else in the workstation area. The RTX 8000 with 48 GB RAM is only a further expansion stage, but the computing power is practically equal. Water-cooled once again 5 and more percent performance to receive, is there already a genuine announcement. If you calculate with the current street price of 4300 Euros at 100 percent performance, then the 105 percent would already correspond to a price of 4500 Euros.

The 200 Euros “won” in such a way could be easily thrown into the balance to justify a water cooling, because the water block Alphacool Eiszeit ES Acetal Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080/2080Ti M02 (2070 & 2080 Super) tested by me is not only conspicuously different, but it also does not cost too much. RGB-free you get 119 euro, which is quite decent and reasonable for the given performance. I will therefore put this cooler through its paces again in a single test.

And what did we see today (once again)? Nvidia cards like it nice and cool. Just like Jensen at his events. So it’s best to take a scarf with you when Air-Con is roaring at full speed. With the RTX-Quadro water is also enough.
