And finally, rest: Samsung Level On Pro with ANC in review

Microphone

The microphone with ball characteristics is rather an emergency and is just as suitable for hands-free speech, but not for gaming and team speak. It gets tight in a noisy environment, such as an airport. Then the microphone mercilessly captures everything and everyone, regardless of loss.

The speech intelligibility is very good, at least if the environment is rather quiet.

Battery life

The charging process is relatively fast, but we would wait at least an hour for the (never really to be fully discharged) memory to fill up again. The duration depends, of course, on many factors, so that we simply compare manufacturer information and our own experiences.

  Bluetooth Anc Manufacturer Practice

To To <=10 Std. <=15 Std.

The fact that our values are partly higher may also be due to the fact that the full roar was looking like never before. For this, there is an extra line with maximum level, which is then slightly below the manufacturer's specifications. The pure playback time with ANC is also slightly lower in practice than that of the Bose QuietComfort 35, whose manufacturer data are even more optimistic than the reality (just like the battery as a total failure).

Measurements and sound check

Now it gets interesting, because we can only measure in the laboratory with the stereo jack. Subjectively, the bass with activated Bluetooth module is much stronger and slips a bit towards Bose-böse with an ACTIVATED ANC. Not quite as extreme (Thank God), but at least in ugly approaches. But then there is still the app, which offers not only rather pointless presets but also a narrow equalizer. Here you can counteract something if necessary and you even get something like a neutral sound.

Thanks to the UHQ-BT codec, the content recorded via Bluetooth sounds better than normal Bluetooth codes – always provided the material is really good. With normal streams, you don't really hear any real difference. So much for theory and practice, including marketing and surcharges. By the way, the curve is astounding, because the 40mm in diameter 41-ohm dual coil chassis can score with indicated neutrality (if you omit ANC or improve with the EQ). Let's take a look at the frequency curve:

First of all, we see that the low bass remains very restrained, but has an almost linear drop. The headset even creates the contraoctave if you push the 32 Hz and 64 Hz range slightly with your own equalizer, respectively. during Bluetooth operation, push the app's 60 Hz controller upwards and take back the 150 Hz knob. The Bose played subjectively even without EQ manipulations audibly deeper, but also a little more muddy and granular.

The bass lift with ANC is also more in the upper bass, so that in the app you simply pull the 150 Hz knob down a bit and only then pull the bass a bit after your own feeling. This even sounds really good, but never manages the levels of direct recording via the jack. Battery and so on.

Bass and upper bass fit and the lower middles are almost perfect. The basic tone ranges of almost all vocals and instruments are very well modeled and there is (almost) nothing missing. The almost filigree reproduction of the mids up to the high-frequency range has nothing to do with Bathtub & Co. and offers significantly better resolution than the Bose. Spatial illustration, location – it's fun to listen in here. Sure, it doesn't replace real hi-fi headphones, but you can take the living room with you while you're travelling. There should also be non-bass-heavy genres, where the skills of real musicians and not that of the sample mater swell are still important.

At the super high tone from approx. 12 KHz the Leven On Pro weakens something, bose can do that a little better. But you won't miss it if you don't listen carefully to suitable pieces (which hardly anyone does on the road anyway). Soundfully, the direct comparison comes down to a close draw, as the Samsung Level On Pro offers the more balanced and finer sound, but the Bose QuietComfort 35 offers slightly more volume in bass and slightly higher levels.

Conclusion

Fits and enthuses equally when you include the price. We wouldn't say it's the perfect Bose replacement now, because then you wouldn't live up to the character of Level On Pro. If you love buzzing basses and rather the lifestyle junkie, you probably won't be happy here. If, on the other hand, you still have a good set of ears and want to keep it as long as possible and still do not want to spend a fortune, you should at least listen to rehearsals. The purchase tip is available for the good mix of usability, sound and price.
