Interior structure
Great praise is given for the really easy access to the RAM as well as 2.5″ holder. When you press the lid, it can be removed. Tools are not necessary for this.
Even though you can already see the M.2 SSD here, it cannot be removed due to the cooler attached by Minisforum because there is not enough space. The voltage converters have their own small cooler body that sits right next to the SSD. In return, a good look can be taken at the working memory, whose exact model is CBD26D4S9S8K1C.
These are two 8GB DDR4 2666Mhz CL19 sticks from Kinston. A maximum of 64GB RAM with 2x 32GB sticks is possible here.
The bottom is held by four small screws, which sit deep in their holes. Thus, a screwdriver with narrow and long cross recess is required for opening.
Once again, a small blower-style fan is responsible for cooling.
The mainboard can be separated from the aluminum frame by removing four additional screws. However, some caution is required here that the thin antenna cables for WLAN reception are not accidentally torn off.
If you then turn the whole thing around, you can finally access the two M.2 slots.
And this is how the UM340 looks almost completely disassembled. Like Intel 7265NGW dual band WLAN card sits underneath the NVMe SSD.
