Material analysis in detail
Let’s start with the heatsink. This is made of pure electrolytic copper and has been nickel-plated very thinly. You can still see the tool marks quite clearly. But that doesn’t really matter, because there is also…
… the heat-conducting paste. It is quite thin and consists of a corundum-ZnO mixture. Something could definitely be optimized here.
Now we come to the thick gray pads, where a fairly soft compound is used. With an aluminum oxide-silicone mixture, these silicone pads are lower middle class.
The pads on the coils are somewhat firmer, but here too it is exclusively corundum as a filler for the silicone matrix.
If you look at the VRM heatsinks, they are all nickel-plated aluminum.
The heatpipes are made of nickel-plated copper and hide no secrets. Just the usual.
The black-coated backplate is made of pure aluminum.
The clamping cross of the GPU is spring steel as an iron-nickel alloy. That concludes the analysis part and we finally come to the benchmarks.
