KFA2 GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Hall of Fame in Review – Hot, White Cracker with Fun Factor | igorsLAB

Summary

The chunk, which weighs almost 1.5 kilograms, is over 300 grams lighter than the MSI RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z, but overclocks almost as fast. In the end, only air cooling is limited, because theoretically there would be even more in it with this BIOS and this board. But no matter how much you press on the voltage converters, the KFA2 card is always much cooler, especially with the voltage converters and the memory. That may please, because it is not much louder.

The offered power limit of 450 watts is brutal and for an air cooling actually completely over the top. Whether you use the in-house AI software with a voltage syringe or not, this depends on the courage of the buyer, but is actually quite meaningless for air coolers in extreme cases. But around the 2 GHz you can tear loosely, even the 2.1 GHz mark is still impressively mastered. That, in turn, is a nice house number.

Because of the weight of the card, however, I would have liked to have had a graphics card holder. But you have to look for it yourself. Because there is only one plexiglass illumination as an encore, but can hold nothing. Just shine and look beautiful. At least something.

So the optics fit, the performance even more so. Seen in this light, this card is the most brutal alternative to Nvidia's Founders Edition as an almost 3-slot design. The assembly of the board is absolutely fine and the same Smart Power Stages are used as with the Nvidia card. You work with a total of 16 voltage converter circuits for the GPU, three more than the reference. Nevertheless, it is effectively eight phases for the GPU and three for memory, which is absolutely sufficient.

I quickly summarize what I wrote in detail on the last pages, because the reader always needs a little reminder. And for the typical first-last-page readers, I would even have the hidden hint that it is well worth reading the rest in between. It's more interesting than you might think 😉

Per Cons
Very good cooling performance
Thoughtful board layout
Very good components
Excellent workmanship
Extremely high Power Target ex works
OLED display
LED lighting
High power consumption in the idle
Slightly too low boost ex works
High weight
3 slots needed
High price

Conclusion

Beautifully white, not hot (in the sense of cooling) and with plenty of potential for overclocking, KFA2 offers with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti HoF a very attractive card, which has a real unique selling point, at least from the optical point of view. It is almost the Bright Side of Life among the graphics cards, which has earned the word high-end quite honestly.

Well, the card costs, but if you want to be beautiful, you have to suffer (and pay). Of course, you can be divided about the gold imitations and the plastic crown, but what's the point? Better an optical spleen than a grey mouse in bags. The display does the rest and whohas the gravel left, should be able to pave his gaming path already well. There is nothing jerking and shrugting, because by the way, the card is also fast, if you overclock it with commitment.
