Autodesk Inventor 2021 Pro and InvMark
Unfortunately, Intel quite obviously had my entry as number one with the Core i9-12900K deleted from the InvMark Leaderboard for Inventor 2021, even though it’s a retail CPU and I wasn’t subject to a embargo period either. That’s unfortunate in that it outclassed all the systems with competing CPUs, some of them significantly, and it would have been a welcome piece of marketing for Intel. Well, they probably wanted gaming instead – what a waste….
InvMark covers almost all areas of Inventor with its comprehensive benchmark and is a really good gauge of system performance. We first look at the total score for all CPUs. The Core i9-12900KF lands more than 22 percentage points higher than the Ryzen 9 5950X’s result, which is already quite significant.
Intel winning single thread performance is certainly no surprise. Still, it’s shocking how well even the little i5-12600K performs against the old i9-11900K.
Also multi-thread performance also goes to Intel, where the two big Ryzen 9s can at least narrowly beat the i5-12600K.
Individual benchmarks of the InvMark
Again, we divide into very different application scenarios. And at least the Ryzen 9 5950X manages to beat the Core i9-12900KF by a razor-thin margin for once in rendering, and the Ryzen 9 5900X can also push itself between the blue bars slightly. The rest actually runs as always: Blue is up.
