For the readers of igorsLab, Michael has of course also given a little something for the new year: An 8BitDo SN30 Pro USB Gamepad Controller. It is modeled after the classic Super Nintendo gamepad, but much more modern and also better made. We decided on the cable version in consultation, since not everyone uses Bluetooth on the PC or console, so we make sure the winner is as compatible as possible.

Since today’s article is neither a sponsored post, nor a favor of any kind, I’m also handling the raffle a little easier this time and foregoing most of the legal overhead. It is a giveaway as a kind gesture that was left for us to share. There is no legal claim. If you are interested in this part, please write in the forum what you would like to use the controller for. Only posts or users who actually actively apply for the assignment in the linked forum thread will be counted.

Participation in the give-away raffle of igor’sLAB, hereinafter referred to as operator or organizer, is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these conditions of participation listed below. Within this period, the registered users of our forum online will be given the opportunity to participate in this raffle free of charge by posting in the relevant forum thread. Posts received after the closing date will not be considered for the draw. It is also not permitted to participate in the competition with multiple user accounts. Thus, it is strictly prohibited to use multiple email addresses/profiles in the forum to increase the chances of winning. Multiple accounts, if we notice them, will be excluded from the draw.

The competition is open to natural persons who are resident in Germany and Austria and who have not yet reached the age of 14. Have reached the age of majority. Participation is voluntary, non-binding and not dependent on the purchase of any goods or services. If a participant has limited legal capacity, the consent of his or her legal representative is required. Not eligible to participate in this raffle are all persons involved in the design and implementation and employees of the operator and their family members. In addition, the operator reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example (a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the raffle, (b) in the event of violations of these conditions of participation, (c) in the event of unfair actions or (d) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the raffle.

The winners will be determined after the closing date by a random draw among all participants. The winners of the raffle will be informed promptly via direct message in the forum about the prize. The prize will only be handed over to the winner or to the legal representative of the underage winner. An exchange, a self-collection as well as a cash payment of the prize are not possible. Any costs incurred for shipping the prizes within Germany will be borne by the operator or the participating companies. However, any additional costs abroad associated with claiming the prize shall be borne by the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxation of the prize abroad. If the winner(s) do not respond by 10.02.2023 (reply to the winner’s PN in the forum or e-mail), the prize in question will be raffled again in the forum.

The organizer expressly reserves the right to terminate the raffle without prior notice and without giving reasons or, if necessary, to extend the term. This applies in particular to any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the draw from proceeding as planned.

Privacy

In order to participate in the raffle, it is necessary to provide certain personal data as part of the community membership. The participant assures that the information provided by him/her, such as the email address, is true and correct. The organizer points out that all personal data of the participant will neither be passed on to third parties nor given to them for use without consent. In case of winning, the winner agrees to the publication of his forum nick. This includes the announcement of the winner on the operator’s website and its social media platforms. The participant may revoke his declared consent in writing at any time. After revocation of the consent, the collected and stored personal data of the participant will be deleted immediately.

Applicable law and Severability clause

Questions or complaints in connection with the competition should be addressed to the operator. The contact information can be found in the imprint. The sweepstake of the operator is exclusively subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The legal process is excluded. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Participation is or becomes invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Participation. In place of the invalid provision, the legally permissible provision that comes closest in economic terms to the meaning and purpose expressed in the invalid provision shall apply. The same shall apply in the event of a loophole in these Conditions of Participation.
