GPU Water Block Raijintek Samos RX 5700 XT in Hardness Test – Price Reviewer for 109 Euro including Backplate | Exclusive test

Test run and temperatures

As always, I connect the graphics card directly to the Chiller to offer absolutely the same test conditions at 20 °C water temperature. I start the test run after a density test with 600 l/min with a more moderate water flow rate of 80 l/min and with +50% power limit including maximum clock speed. I do the hardness test with Furmark, because here the voltage converters and parts of the memory are charged higher. These settings are good in 4K gaming on Witcher 3 for well over 2 GHz. Durable, mind you.

As already written, the water temperature was as always constant 20 °C and the room temperature was 22 °C. This means that we now have the best conditions for later comparisons with other products, which I also had in advance in the test. But how well is the new Raijintek Samos doing now against the Alphacool Aurora GPX-A and the EKWB Vector in the hardness test? The GPU temperature is identical within the scope of the measurement inaccuracies, so there are no outliers here. On the contrary, because the tendency to 43 °C below the base can really convince.

If one compares the Samos with the GPX-A from Alphacool, the Samos can not quite keep up with the voltage converters and also the memory blocks #1 and #2, but still achieves quite good values, all of which are completely in the green range.

The distance to the EKWB Vector is much smaller and if you compare the price at the end, then at Raijintek you actually get a very similar performance product for much less money.

Summary and conclusion

The part is a real price breaker, even if you might have a bit of a struggle with the optics. But the workmanship is solid and apart from the slightly too soft screws I have not noticed anything that could still put unexpected hurdles in the way of the inexperienced user. Just take care when screwing and don't overdo it with the torque. Then nothing happens there either.

The Raijintek Samos RX 5700 XT fits perfectly into the narrower budget without having to make major cuts in cooling performance, on the contrary. The cooler keeps up well and also has a massive terminal, which forgives many coarse-motor violence actions. Whether you like the glued carbon imitate, on the other hand, everyone will have to decide with themselves. Addressable RGB LEDs are on board and everything can even be operated on the appropriate 5V motherboard connector.
