Volume flow (throughput) in m³h
The black bar is the specification from the data sheet, which we check with at this point. Let’s start with the value for m3 per hour, which is more common in Germany, and compare the individual installation variants from pure case fans to use on 60 mm radiators. You can see that the fan falls very significantly short of the targets in an open setup and without radiators (a whopping 28 percentage points!) and is also quite clearly inferior to the 25 mm reference at 100% speeds. And then came the but…
At the lower speeds it becomes really interesting, even on the radiator! Because the Fractal Prisma AL-12 PWM ARGB doesn’t let itself be impressed and even at only 500 rpm (DC regulated!) it still performs absolutely usable and much better than the reference! But, this is important, at the end we will evaluate the rotational speeds in relation to the sound level and the volume flow achieved, and in doing so we will discover some astonishing things. So it remains quite exciting, because speed is not equal to speed!
Volume flow (throughput) in cfm
The whole thing again in cfm. However, since only the unit of measurement changes, what has already been said for the airflow applies to the same extent.
