Optics and haptics
Apart from the now red grilles on the sides, absolutely nothing has changed on the outside to the SER3. Unfortunately, the fingerprint-prone piano lacquer around the ports on the front remains.
The high-quality looking case appears very well ventilated overall, and three wide air vents on the back further strengthen this impression. This is also bitterly necessary, as we will learn later.
Two wide rubber feet provide a good grip on the underside, and the key that is used to access the BIOS or the boot menu is also conveniently printed here. By the way, the two threads under the serial number are for the VESA mount for attaching to a monitor.
On the front, we have two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C, a headphone/microphone combo port, and the power button. Besides data, a display signal can also be output via the USB C port.
The back panel offers us a Gigabit LAN port, two more USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI ports with support for 4K @ 60Hz and the DC connector for the power supply.
