Yes, the topic of CPUs is currently back at the top of the menu. Intel is coming soon with the 12. The 3rd generation of their CPUs is around the corner and things are already heating up when it comes to the topic of power consumption (or correct power consumption). It will certainly be exciting to see how Intel wants its CPUs with long bars to be presented on the front pages of this world. I’m sure Igor will take a close look (well I already know)! But today we’re going to take a look at a topic related to the latest AMD Ryzen CPUs. They can be undervolted by Precision Boost Overdrive 2 with a 500 series motherboard. And meanwhile “Undervolting” is the new “Overclocking”! Although I was aware of the PBO 2 issue, I never tested it until today. Was that a mistake? Let’s see…
Ultimately, a comment from the community on the last article “Water Games with Alphacool” see here, got me thinking about today’s topic. So greetings to the community, thanks for your feedback – especially the guest “quantaro”! First, I’ll briefly introduce you to the structure of my tests, then we’ll look at the evaluations, and we’ll finish with a short conclusion!

A few words in advance: The article is only for general attention concerning the topic PBO and especially the “Undervolting”. I can’t give you a detailed look down to the smallest iota on this today. I don’t have enough time for that at the moment! There are other projects and articles on the “to do list”. I’m sure we’ll see the heart of the matter portrayed though!
