Section for analysis and the measured “spectra”.
Different paste, same game. For X-ray spectroscopy, individual measuring points “Spectrum xx” are again marked on the graph. You will receive the exact evaluations for exactly these points in the following. The theory for this, as already written, is on page one.
Main ingredient
The large bodies (“grains”) in the spectra are , as with the KPx, extra-hard corundum, a fairly common mineral from the mineral class of oxides and hydroxides. It crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system with the chemical composition Al₂O₃ and is therefore chemically nothing else than aluminum oxide. And hooray, it’s virtually congruent with the Kingpin Cooling KPx:
Filler
We also come to the more favorable filler in the Kryonaut Extreme, which we naturally also want to determine. A few impurities (probably quartz sand) are again present, but negligible in quantity. And it is – what a coincidence – also zinc oxide ZnO!
Interim summary
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme is also an Al₂O₃ (corundum) based thermal paste with a grain size between 1.5 and 5 µm and quite ordinary, finely ground zinc oxide. The rest is a silicone oil and some paint and if we are to be honest, it is kind of the same as the KPx. Or the KPx is the same as the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme.
