Let’s go. And as a little side-kick: Since we washed out the color at the same time, you’ll have to use your eagle eyes now. Otherwise you might see everything twice. And no one can use that.

Due to the rinsing out, of course, the proportions within the mixed powder have changed considerably and the great and important spatial distribution of main and filler materials is no longer given. A good example of the much finer fillers, but applicable to both pastes, can be seen in this exemplary picture:
Let’s just take a spot where there are fewer fillers and now look at the larger particles. Already visually you can see that they are round, rather full bodies and not sharp jagged crystals or platelets. And seriously: Without the labeling of the sliders, no one can see what is what now. The only difference is the slightly different “illumination”, but this has nothing to do with the material:

And what happens when you bring out the big guns and quintuple the resolution? This is another one of those things where you can no longer clearly distinguish left from right:
Interestingly, both pastes also contain “outliers” in the particle size, which of course can always occur. A problem shared is a problem halved, especially between siblings…
Interim summary
So, so far we have not been able to find any significant difference using SEM. Since we are not getting anywhere with the eye, we have to turn our attention to the chemical elements that can be found in it. This is now available for each paste individually for the time being…
