We had already reported on the supposed specifications of the new Radeon RX 5600 XT, also about the launch period at the end of January, more precisely in calendar week three. Meanwhile, more information about the date leaked through, so that our own sources can be considered pretty safe after the 21.01.2020 launch date. However, this time AMD, perhaps also in memory of the somewhat accidental launch of the Radeon RX 5500 XT, should follow the same path as Nvidia with the last "super" cards and initially only sample the so-called MSRP models and only allow reviews of these cheaper cards, which have to hit the price point of the EIA.
Only one day later, i.e. on 22.01.2020, there will be reviews of the slightly better equipped and thus also more expensive models, which should then surely also come with a little more clock ex works. However, Nvidia already had problems that many models on launch day still cost significantly more than the EIA actually envisaged. The market is subject to its own laws and if retailers believe they want to nibble off even larger crumbs from the cake, then of course they will do so again.
So let us be surprised and I can already assure you that I too will look at this map in detail. Then, by the way, on an AMD test system with a Ryzen 9 3950X, which is currently under construction, even if it means having to benchmark everything from scratch again.
