When it comes to gaming and peripherals, everyone has their own preferences, which doesn’t make it easy for manufacturers to cover everything that customers want with just one product. ASUS has made an attempt here and launched the ASUS ROG Pugio II. Let’s take a closer look at what this mouse can do and whether it can really be called an “all-rounder” today!
Before we dive deep into the matter, let’s take a closer look at the mouse as such and the scope of delivery. Of course, the general technical data as well as the software and anything else that caught my eye should not be missing.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The mouse is delivered in typical ASUS ROG packaging and is also well secured against possible transport damage. When it came to the actual scope of delivery, I was immediately pleasantly surprised.
Here, besides the necessary USB cable and the replacement gliding feet (PTFE), there is also a small extra box. I wonder what’s in there?
ASUS supplies the customer with replacement buttons for the mouse right away. The necessary tools are also right at the start! So if it should be necessary, you can change the buttons of the mouse yourself with a few simple steps.
I personally find that commendable! The USB cable, which is mainly intended for charging the mouse, has a sufficient length of 2m. Since it’s a fairly rigid cable, it’s a bit too bulky for gaming via cable, but if in doubt, you can definitely still use that for bridging. But where is the USB dongle actually hidden?
The dongle is located under the cover in the mouse. This is convenient because the cover is easy to remove and you can thus take the dongle with you hidden there. This virtually eliminates the need to lose or search in the bag. I like it very much! Now let’s take a look at the manufacturer’s specifications.
Technical data
I have summarized some of the data for you here. If you want to know more, you can have a look at the ASUS ROG home page, here I have given you the link directly to the technical specifications of the ROG Pugio II: click here!
