Grayscale, color fidelity and gamut to factory settings
Now there are no more excuses. Now the MS321UP has to deliver. The factory calibration is unmistakably suggested by means of a protocol.
Let’s measure then…
Color space coverage
The 95% DCI-P3 or 87% AdobeRGB coverage is not quite reached. My measurements show a deviation of just under 1 percent. This is what I would call measurement tolerance. Unfortunately, the LG panel is too weak on the pixels for AdobeRGB. The monitor is very well suited for P3 and sRGB.
Gray Scale (Eco Mode)

No need to be sad. Eco mode is enabled by default, but only for one reason. So that you can still somehow score points with regard to the energy label. A few clicks in the OSD and activate the Calibration 1 mode.
Gray Scale (Calibration 1)
The rest of the information can be found in the minutes.

Okay, the monitor can really deliver. The protocol was not simply generated on the copier. For those of you readers looking for a monitor with such features, the MSI Summit MS321UP should be on your wish list!
ColorChecker (Calibration 1)
Do the two color variations look familiar? Yes, the MEG381CQR+ also had the same deviations. I would say the LG IPS panel and its weakness. Nevertheless, an average delta E 2000 of 0.64 is extremely good, and you can’t do anything better with a subsequent calibration.
Brightnesses
Those who use the maximum brightness in permanent use should wear sunglasses. LoL
Unfortunately, the MS321UP is not really dark. The gaming monitors can usually do that better.
In Eco mode, I was able to set the monitor slightly darker and less maximally bright. The measured 163 nits (minimum brightness) do not really make a difference. In return, you can’t go beyond 300 nits in eco mode. I’ve already said that you won’t get anything out of this with a calibration, but I still calibrate the monitor. Turn the page…
